Dr. John Shank is a Fellowship-Trained, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in the treatment of foot and ankle injuries and disorders. Dr. Shank has treated numerous high school, collegiate and professional athletes including Olympic medalists, MLB, NFL and NHL players. Dr. Shank treats traumatic injuries, sports injuries and performs both simple and complex foot and ankle reconstructions. He performs procedures for arthritis, sports and athletic injuries, cartilage injuries, fractures, trauma and deformity.

I was seen pretty quickly (within 10 min of my appointment time). The initial person was thorough and professional. I was taken for an x-ray and then I met with the PA about my situation. She also sent the Doctor in to discuss the surgery option and to answer any questions. I am no awaiting a call from the surgery scheduler.

Dr Shank is the best foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon around. Achilles’ tendon repair went perfectly with no pain at all. Totally impressed with the whole surgical team. Great care from beginning to end. The appointments and surgery were efficient and on time. The anesthesia team and specifically Dr Swain were amazing.
